About the Speakers

Cindy Bristow

Cindy is the founder of Softball Excellence. She is the former Director of Development for the International Softball Federation and Director of National Teams for USA Softball. She is a softball color analyst for ESPN, has coached in the Women’s Professional Fastpitch league as well as at the collegiate level. She has authored numerous instructional books & videos and was inducted into the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Hall of Fame.

Tracy Bunge

Tracy is the head coach at the University of Kansas. The former pitching great for the Jayhawks returned to her alma mater and has guided her teams to four NCAA Tournament appearances. In 2006, the Jayhawks won the Big 12 Conference Tournament. Tracy’s teams have posted eight 30-win seasons and she has coached 13 All-Big 12 First Team selections and eight Midwest All-Region selections.

Connie Clark

Connie is the head coach at the University of Texas. In her 10 years as the Longhorns’ coach, she has guided her teams to four NCAA Women’s College World Series appearances and seven NCAA tournament appearances. Her teams have won four Big 12 Conference tournaments and two Big 12 Conference titles. While at Texas, she has coached two Olympic Gold Medalist pitchers and posted a 406-186 record.

Michelle Gromacki

Michelle is the head coach at Cal-State Fullerton. She has guided the Titans to four Big West Conference titles and five appearances in the NCAA Tournament. She has also been a member of the USA Softball National Team coaching pool. During her playing career, Michelle was one of the premier catchers in the nation. She was an eight-time ASA All-American and played on the U.S. National Team for 10 years.

Kirk Walker

Kirk is the head coach at Oregon State University. His teams have made eight straight appearances in the NCAA Tournament. In 2006, Kirk guided OSU to their first-ever trip to the Women’s College World Series. Twice he has been named Pac-10 Coach of the Year. He has also been a member of the USA Softball National Team coaching pool and coached club teams to five ASA National Tournament titles.
